Andrew Peace wines is a large agricultural enterprise located in Piangil,
North Western Victoria. We require a mixed crop farmer/ Agricultural
Technician to assist in the running of our broad acre cropping division
consisting of dryland 3000 ha and irrigated 1000ha growing a range of both

* Soil preparation
* Cultivating crops and maintaining optimal growing conditions
* Organise and conduct farming operations, including collecting, storing and grading the crops
* Direct and oversee general faming activities including fertilizing, pest control and week control
* Recoding farming activities, and plan crop preparation and production to meet yearly contract requirements and market demand
* Train and supervise staff/contractors
* Budgeting and ordering in conjunction with management
* Knowledge and experience planning and preparing for planting and cultivation
* Spraying / Planting & Spreading operations

Benefits:

full-time at a popular Commercial Hotel in Brisbane owned and operated by our

**Job Summary**

Leadwood Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Agricultural Technician to perform
and supervise a range of day to day farm operations on a farm at Dimbulah, Far
North Queensland.
**Applicant needs to**
To assist the farm manager to carry out duties associated with the day-to-day
and long-term management of all areas involved in running a avocado, lime and
macadamia farm. It will be their assisted responsibility to help with
developing and implementing appropriate strategies to meet longer-term
production goals and deliver gains towards profitability, efficiency and
quality, this is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity for career

**Duties and responsibilities (but are not limited to) the following:**

* assist with examining topographical, physical and soil characteristics of farmland to determine its most effective use and identify nutrient deficiencies
* assisting in developing new methods of planting, fertilising, harvesting and processing crops to achieve optimum land usage
