essential oils. MCNE has an opportunity for an experienced Farm Manager-full-
time basis to manage our largest property (4,200 ha) in the Northern Rivers
area of NSW. Property has over 1,000 ha of established, flood irrigated tea
tree crop; over 150ha of sugar; rotational wheat & soybean + a growing cattle
herd. The operation is heavily mechanised & operates with between 10 & 20
workers depending on the time of year. Successful candidate will need to
demonstrate knowledge of & experience in irrigated cropping, farming a
permanent crop, a hands-on approach, strong people management skills & ability
to lead a team in a changing environment. Prior exposure to cropping essential
oils & livestock management skills, helpful but not essential. This is a
senior full time role reporting to the company’s Director of Farming. **Skills
and Experience:** At least 5-10 years’ experience in all aspects of broad acre
farming, including strong knowledge in cultivation, planting & agronomy,
experience with irrigation, skills in spraying/chemical safety; Extensive
knowledge in modern farming practices, ideally with prior experience of GPS
guidance systems; ability to maintain farm machinery & infrastructure; Strong

100 to 150 positions available for harvesting and packing avocados.

Tasks include:

* Picking and packing avocados;
* General farm yard duties;
* General maintenance.

Work is due to commence early November 2021 and expected to last 6 to 9
months. There will be various start dates during this time.

You will generally work 6 days per week from Monday to Saturday, though this
may change from time to time and Sunday work may be required. Usually work
will start at 8am and finish at 6pm, though this may change from time to time.

Payment for these positions will be under the Horticulture Award 2020,
classification: Leve 1, Casual.

Cutri Fruit requires a Produce Inspector to ensure that its plants and

This position reports to the Farm Manager and the Factory Manager to ensure
proper and efficient operations of the storage, packing and processing sheds.

* Monitoring an ensuring compliance of quality control procedures to ensure BRC/HACCP compliance and quality assurance
* Testing samples of produce for quality, size, taste and reporting to Farm Manager as to any signs of pests and disease as reported by shed staff
* Monitoring and ensuring compliance of hygiene standards during storage, processing and packing sheds and in transport vehicles
* Monitoring and ensuring compliance with packing and loading processes, including the washing, treating and waxing of produce
* Inspect and pass final produce for quality assurance
* Keeping records of fruit quality levels to ensure compliance with client and contractual specification, and reporting to Farm Manager and Factory Manager
* Maintenance and management of the quality system of the fruit crops
* Managing and training the sheds team, and ensuring a safe fruit farm working environment

**Skills / Experience required (key competencies, must haves):**

* A proven record of skills and knowledge in agriculture/horticulture;
* Have considerable experience, fundamental knowledge and skills in farm operation;

We currently seeking a few casual paddock workers who are available for an
immediate start. **This is not seasonal work.** The work is available all year
round and potentially gain full-time employment in the future.

**Job Description:**

* Manually harvesting salad leaves (e.g. coral lettuce, oak lettuce, cos lettuce, etc.) or brassica crops (e.g. cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, etc.) with a knife.
* Mechanically harvesting salad leaves (e.g. spinach, chard, mizuna, etc.)
* Ensure that a safe working environment is maintained by understanding and implementing safety policies that adhere to legal standards.
* Assist in the packing, stacking and sorting of designated crops, including folding crates/carton boxes. (up to 20kg)
* Transplanting of designated crops following efficient transplanting techniques to optimise transplanting activities.
* Operate tractor only if authorised by harvesting supervisor. Paddock workers must possess a current driving licence and has been trained on safe tractor operations to drive a tractor.
* Weeding when necessary.
* Cleaning of equipment, farm machinery, working vehicles or other equipment as directed.
