Wharf One Food & Wine is looking for a Functions Coordinator that has full
experience of event delivery from brief to de-brief and can support the
Functions Manager.

You will need to be a ‘hand’s on’ coordinator with a ‘can do’ approach to

Minimum Skills & Experience

* 3 years minimum of full event coordination experience from brief to delivery – with the ability to muck in to ensure successful delivery when necessary.
* Strong and effective Stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate and build solid relationships.
* Demonstrated planning and project coordination expertise.
* A delivery focused mindset and an ability to deal with road blocks and find workarounds
* Articulate and highly developed, persuasive communication skills with impeccable presentation
* A tertiary qualification in Event Management (preferred)

**About You:**

* Implement calving procedures, including the ability to physically conduct unsupervised internal assessments to minimise the incidence of still births or injuries to cow or calf.
* Plan and manage pastures and crops for livestock production and develop livestock feeding plans.
* Analyse produce to set and maintain standards of quality.
* Supervise animal health programs, handle sick or injured animals and maintain an optimal environment for the wellbeing of livestock consistent with the Australian Animal Welfare Standards and Guidelines.
* Supervise work routines and staff performance of less experienced employees such as an assistant farmhand.
* Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures, ensuring compliance and that all relevant documentation is kept current.
* Inspect livestock to gauge the effectiveness of feed formulae.
* Identify and report equipment not operating normally, maintenance of plant and machinery.
* Ensure food safety regulatory requirements are met.
* Contribute to and implement Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) requirements.
* Operate computer equipment and software packages requiring set-up and basic function operation.
* Coordinate the response to emergencies for both occupational health and safety emergencies and animal welfare emergencies.

to expand our knowledge outside the kitchen with team outings ( eating at

We are open 6 days a week (closed Mondays), only 3 lunches a week (Fri, Sat &
Sun. So theres always plenty of time to prep before service). We do not open
for breakfast (earliest start is 10am) and our night shift generally finshes
around 10pm. We work a 40 hour week (generally 2 doubles and 3 straight
shifts). The kitchen recieves a generous portion of tips and we regularly look
to expand our knowledge outside the kitchen with team outings ( eating at
other restaurants & kitchen training sessions).

On the job training will be provided. So if you have the right attitude but
lack experience, this job could be right for you.

to travel. We have on premises underground security parking, on street parking

Since 1999 Quintis has grown Sandalwood Album ( _Santalum Album_ ) trees in
Australia’s tropical north, creating a sustainable supply of this fragrant and
medicinal tree. Today Quintis is discovering new and unique potential across

conditions, support mind and body, and enhance flavour and fragrance.

As a member of Quintis, you’ll be part of a team that spans areas like
forestry, research and development, quality assurance and marketing, working
together to help our customers and unlock the true potential of this wellbeing
super-ingredient, Sandalwood Album.

Reporting to the Head Irrigator, the Irrigation Technician will assist with
the day to day management and operation of all water infrastructures and the
accurate scheduled watering of all plantations according to agreed schedules
and appropriate soil moisture levels.

Based in regional Kununurra in Northern Western Australia, the successful
candidate will be interested in a remote living/working lifestyle.

**Duties Include:**

* Collect and analyse incoming data for use in irrigation scheduling for WA:
* Collect water meter readings and make recommendations on KR irrigation, in conjunction with the Head Irrigator;
* Gather data on soil moisture and match to probe data, advising Irrigators of any anomalies;
* Monitor climatic conditions and schedule the amount of water that must be applied to each plantation in Quintis;
* Monitor all electronic soil moisture devices, weekly evaporation and ‘Enviroscan’ probe site for any blocked drippers and tape alignment;
* Ad-hoc irrigation duties as required including flushing valves, washing field filters, tape fixing, boundary run, drip tape emitter testing and dam measurements.

**Essential knowledge and skills:**

* Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
* Valid “C” class driver’s license
* Comprehensive communication skills
* Ability to carry out duties safely in accordance with OHS regulations

**Desirable** :

* First Aid Certificate
* Qualifications in Horticulture and/or Irrigation Agronomy
* Background in Agriculture/ Forestry/ Horticulture

We are looking for up to 150 workers for berry harvesting on our Berry Farm
located at Red Hills Tasmania 40 minutes from Launceston and 40 minutes from
Devonport.

Harvesting will commence in November and we continue to harvest through to the
end of May.

All our berries are grown on tables undercover in our poly tunnels. We grow
strawberries. blackberries and raspberries. Berries are to be picked according
to specifications, then weighed, and packaged.

To be successful in this role you will need:

* To be physically fit and able to work on your feet for the full duration of your shift.
* To be self-motivated and able to work well independently.
* To be able to respect and implement instructions in a timely manner.
* To have an eye for detail and quality.
* A willingness to work in all weather conditions from hot and dry to wet and muddy.
* To be available to work up to six days a week which includes weekends. (Please do not apply if you cannot meet this requirement)
* Willingness to pick all berry types
* To be flexible and available to start work from 6.30am to various finishing times.
* Your own method of transport and accommodation.
* A tax file number and if applicable a valid Visa to work in Australia.

Employment is on a casual basis paid under the Horticultural Award 2020 Level
1. You will be paid a piece rate of pay system. This means you are paid for
each tray of berries you pick, therefore the more trays you pick the higher
your income will be.

An Induction and training will be provided prior to you commencing work, this
is usually conducted the day before or on your first day of commencing work.
