DAY2

A brand-new day says hello. Although last night was nowhere near a sound sleep, I feel recharged and refreshed by the big blue sky, the fresh sunlight, and a nice yummy coffee by the creek. While I’m preparing some breakfast, the boys are packing. Bye! Old-school hut!

新的一天向我招手。尽管昨晚没怎么睡好，但是这大大的蓝天明晃晃的阳光再加上小溪边的一杯美味的咖啡足已让我感觉精神抖擞。我负责准备早饭，其他小伙伴负责收拾打包。再见了！复古的小木屋！

We are on our way.

在路上。

We stopped. The hunters are looking for targets and I’m having a wee look around.

我们偶尔会停一停。猎人们在寻找目标，我嘛，就在边上瞎晃悠。

We keep moving and run into another old-school hut by the riverside.

我们继续走着，又遇见一个老式的小木屋。

Built in 1920s, even older than the last night’s one.

上世纪二十年代建的，比昨天那个还老。

I’m so relieved knowing that this is not where we’re going to stay. And I’m promised a fancy hut for tonight.

得知我们不会在这儿住，我舒了口气。小伙伴向我承诺今晚入住豪华小木屋。

We crossed the river to the other side.

我们穿过这条河去到另一边。

The cliff is on my left side and I’m literally freaking out by the height.

左边就是悬崖，我怀疑我恐高，是真的害怕。

Watching the way we came through on the other side of the river, I’m holding my phone and my breath tightly. At this moment, I know exactly what breathtaking means.

看着对面我们来时走过的路，我一边紧紧攥住手机一边屏住呼吸。这个时候，我真切地理解了摄人心魄这个词的含义。

Some parts of the road are really rough. We’re so lucky to have an expert leading us.

有的路段是真的颠簸。好在我们有个专家在前面给

我们领路。

And I trust my experienced truck driver.

然后我无比信任我的老司机。

When we’re in trouble, I know problems can be solved and we can move on.

当我们遇到麻烦时，我知道问题可以被解决，我们能够继续前行。

We run into a wild cow. We enjoy our mutual attention.

遇见一个野生牛魔王。我们享受来自彼此的凝视。

The fancy hut is just over there! I’m thrilled!

豪华小木屋就在前面！我好开熏！

Wow~

Have a look inside.

来看看里面。

Wow~

We settle down.

淡定，冷静。我们安顿下来了。

The boys are having some shooting fun.

雄性们在射击。

My little kitchen has already been set up.

我的小厨房已经被安排好了。

Something yummy to comfort our tummies.

来点好吃的抚慰我们的胃。

Then, we get on the trucks to have another wee adventure nearby.

然后我们上车去附近探探险。

I’m so carried away by this wee rock monster valley.

这个小小的怪石头山谷很让我上头。

Driving on the riverbed is really rough.

在河床上前行真是颠婆。

“Are we in trouble?” The answer is YES.

“我们卡住了吗？”答案是肯定的。

We’re getting towed. Problem perfectly solved.

我们被拖出来。问题完美解决。

We’re heading back to the hut.

我们回到小木屋。

No plan for the rest of the day.

Just chill.

I can’t swim but I’m having great fun in the river.

今天剩下的时间没有任何计划。

放轻松。

我不会游泳，但我在河里开心地玩耍。

Back from the river, doing nothing and having some treats.

从河边回到小屋，啥也不干，吃点零食喝点东西。

Wraps for dinner.

晚饭就吃肉卷。

I’m having a walk watching the sun going down and the moon rising up.

饭后散个步，看着太阳下山，月亮上山。

It’s getting dark. We have the candles on.

天黑了。点上蜡烛。

We decide to sleep under the stars outside the hut.

我们决定在星空下睡觉。

Poor-

quality phone pictures allow for imagination… The milky way is visible but not as clear as expected due to the mist above the river. But it doesn’t bother me too much.

渣画质给想象留足空间。因为河面的水汽，银河可见，但不如预期的惊艳。不过我也不是特别介意。

Having been in New Zealand for over four years, I finally had my first off-road trip, with my best ever friends, the best ever company I could have. It’s such a magical trip for me and I’m going to record it to preserve a tiny fraction of the magic.

来新西兰超过四年了，我终于实现了越野旅行，跟我最好的朋友，最好的同伴。对我来说这是一场奇幻的冒险。我想通过记录这场旅行应该能保存一小部分它的魔力。

On our way to the destination, I am laying back, just being and feeling good 😈

去目的地的路上，我舒服地躺着，只是存在着，感觉好极了。

Arrived at the entrance later in the afternoon. We are getting the trucks ready and putting some warm clothes on.

下午到达入口处。加好衣服，准备好出发。

Then the adventure starts!

冒险开始啦！

We had been driving in heavy mist for quite a while. I am stoked to see the big blue sky just in front of us!

我们在浓雾中前行了好长一段。看到蓝天就在我们前面我简直不要太高兴。

Tough wild daisies are thriving and blooming regardless of the harsh living conditions.

严酷的环境无法阻止顽强的野雏菊骄傲地绽放。

We keep going.

我们继续走着。

Looking back at the winding track.

回头看蜿蜒的山路。

The first hut in the valley is so tidy and shiny. 🤩

山谷里出现的第一个木屋整洁得发光。

But this is not where we are going to stay for the night. 😟 Never mind! I’m told we are going to stay at a very old-school hut. We keep going and I keep expecting to be surprised and obviously, I’m not disappointed.

但这不是我们要过夜的地方。那好吧。我被告知我们会去一个很老派的木屋。我们陆续走着，我保持期待，等着被惊喜。果然，没有让我失望。。。

Here’s where we’re going to stay, period.

这就是我们将要过夜的地方，确定一定以及肯定。

Built in the 1930s, OLD-SCHOOL INDEED.

上个世纪30年代建的，着实很老派。

Old-school stretchers.

老派的担架床。

Old-school fireplace.

老派的壁炉。

🥺I’m coping whereas everybody else in our team seems content. At least one of us is really enjoying this old-school scenario. And that’s really good.

我坚强面对这一切然而其他小伙伴貌似挺坦然。至少有一个小伙伴对这种老派非常对味。这就够了。

“Modern kitchen” set up. German sausage hotdogs are on the menu.

“现代化”厨房搭好了。德国香肠热狗在今天的菜单上。

Sleeping bags set up, we’re ready for the night. Good night🌛

睡袋弄好了，我们准备睡了。晚安。
